Turkey Meatball Sub

Truly a classic, and one of my absolute favorites: the savory, gooey, always satisfying meatball sub.  Hot turkey meatballs on warm bread that is covered in homemade tomato sauce then topped with cheese, you simply can't get much better than that.  Making a tasty meatball sub is a wonderful way to use those left-overs from your turkey meatballs with angel hair pasta dinner.

Ingredients:

  • 1 sub roll (I used an Italian loaf roll)
  • 3-4 meatballs smothered in sauce
  • mozzarella cheese
Steps:

Reheat the meatballs and desired amount of sauce in a pot on the stove over low heat.  Make sure to stir occasionally.

While the meatballs and sauce are heating, cut your roll in half.

Using your (clean) fingers, hollow out the middle of the bread to create a bowl-type indention.

Do this to both halves of the roll.

When the meatballs and sauce are nice and hot, pop the bread into the microwave for a few seconds, this will make the bread warm.

Then pile the hot meatballs into the indention that you have made in your roll.

Top with cheese, and savor each and every delicious bite!

This sandwich is so good on its own, you don't even need anything to go along side it.
